I am doing my genealogy and am a descendant of a certain Roger Casey born c. 1646 "in Ireland" who landed in Acadia, New France (nowaday called New Bunswick, Canada) c. 1660. Some family rumors hint towards Co Cork... maybe Mitchelstwon.
I am schedule to visit Ireland in June 2016 and would like to investigate "on site" into some archives, if such exists. I am wondering if you could either givc me some indication as to where to look for or whom to contact that could help me on this quest.
Here is the website of our family where you can peak into what we have been able to discover so far about our lineage. http://caissiefamily.org/
